Work Experience

1993-Present First Stone Ministries, Inc., Oklahoma City, OK – Nonprofit 501c3 religious para-church pastoral discipleship counseling, support group and educational ministry in helping people overcome sexual and relational brokenness. Stephen started working part-time in 1992 with First Stone, and then in 1993 started full-time work as Assistant Director to Jeff Janes.  Job requirements, Administration, Ministeriarl Pastoral Care Giver in Discipleship, Support Group Leader, Bible Teacher, Public Speaker.  Then in 1995 advance to Co-Director, and then become Executive Director in 2000 as Jeff Janes resigned. In 2017, became the author of Freedom Realized - Find Freedom From Homosexuality & Living Life Free From Labels, and in August of 2018, Freedom Realized: The Complete First Stone Ministries Effectiveness Survey - REPORT was also published.  The Spanish version of Freedom Realized is to be printed in June of 2019.  Freedom Realized - Lesson Learned is due to be released at the end of 2019. First Stone is governed by a board of directors for ethical conduct and financial accountability.

1986-1993 Metalines / Balco-Metalines, Oklahoma City, OK – Commercial Manufacturer of Expansion Joints, Trench Covers, Stair Nosings, Floor Mats and Grids, and Metacaulk fireproofing. Worked in the drafting and engineering departments as a draftsman, an engineer’s assistant, and a graphics manager.

1984-1986 Brown Manufacturing Company, Oklahoma City, OK – Commercial Manufacturer of Sunscreen Devices, Bumper Guard and Hand Railing for Commercial Architecture for the entire world. Worked in the engineering department as a draftsman, worked with architects, designers, and produced installation documents and contracts. (out of business)

1981-1984 ABCO, Oklahoma City, OK – Commercial Window Manufacturing for new Construction and Remodel for South-Midwestern USA. Worked in the engineering department as a draftsman and produced installation documents. (out of business)

1979-1981 U.S. Aquatics, Oklahoma City, OK – Tropical Fish and Animal – Exotic World Imports – a Wholesale Outlet for pet stores for the entire state of Oklahoma. Worked with the tropic fish hatcheries, tank set ups, installations and a delivery specialist for pet stores across the state. (out of business)

Other Ministerial Experience

Present from 1993  Leadership team with First Stone Ministries, Oklahoma City, OK – (see above), Executive Director.

2012 to 2018 Served on the board of the Restored Hope Network(RHN). One of seven founders in starting the RHN. Served as Vice-Chairman of RHN, and the last year, 2017-2018, served as Chairman.

2008-2012 Served as Chairman of the Exodus International Ministry Council – resigned as a result of the internal debacle of theological confusion and witnessed the 2012 implosion of Exodus.  Alan Chambers closed Exodus in 2013 believing in hyper-grace and "gay Christianity."

1996 – 2004  Associate Minister and Elder with Prayer House Fellowship, Oklahoma City, OK – Senior Minister – David Smithers

1994 to present  Ordained with International Ministerial Fellowship: an interdenominational organization whose focus is raising up trained ministers for missions and church growth.

1994 – 2001 Volunteer Chaplain in Texas and Oklahoma Maximum Security Prisons.

1994 – 1998 Board Member with local OKC ministry: “In His Name Ministries” – founders: Dee and Margaret Stribling
