The Devastation of Trampling Underfoot - Rotator

The devastation caused by trampling underfoot the sacred process of biblical restoration has left many pastors and leaders wounded by betrayal. It is traumatizing for many. Yet in this valley of trauma, there arises a holy invitation—to walk out forgiveness as Jesus taught. “For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses” (Matthew 6:14–15). This is not optional—it is the heartbeat of the kingdom.

When Peter asked, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him?” Jesus replied, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times” (Matthew 18:21–22). Forgiveness is not a transaction—it is a continual posture of mercy. And in the parable that follows, Jesus warns that those who receive mercy must also extend it: “Should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?” (Matthew 18:33).

This journey of forgiveness may well become a small book of healing—a testimony to the grace that restores, the mercy that mends, and the Spirit who walks with the broken toward wholeness.
