A Brother ~ My Brother! An Answer to Prayer!
FINALLY! A NATIONAL LEADER! A Man of God, Ken Hutcherson, the senior pastor of Antioch Bible Church in Kirkland, Washington. Pastor Hutcherson is a beautiful black man in my view, for he is a courageous man of God, but not just because he is black, but that he has godly conviction as a black man. This is God’s beauty – the feet of those who preach good news! No doubt Pastor Hutcherson will take a lot hits (verbal abuse) over speaking the truth with the “One New Now” interviews. However I have no doubt that he will stand strong on the truth, boldly proclaiming, because Jesus Christ is his God and king. I am rejoicing today! FINALLY one my brothers in Christ who is boldly speaking the truth! A godly black conservative leader who is not afraid of the back lash or the “black lash” of the politically correct leftist elite. I am so grateful for Pastor Hutcherson’s interviews; this brought tears to my eyes as I read the articles and then again when I called Antioch Bible Church to express my gratefulness! I am sure that Pastor Hutcherson is not the only leader who is speaking up, however he just happens to be one who is speaking up loud enough to be heard nationally.
(See links to the articles below).
My heart was sincerely grieved over hearing the election exiting statistical poll data; 95% of black America voting for Barack Hussein Obama for President, which includes the black church in America. It is conclusive that this was based upon the fact of Obama’s skin color. Many Christians, white, black or otherwise voted for the “change” because they were frustrated with the war in Iraq and the economy; but they did not consider the actual facts of the stated Obama goals during the campaign that were actually anti-Christian. I found that grievous, since church percentages should have been more politically conservative no matter what a persons race. The numbers of 52 to 48 percent should have been the norm in the Church as was the entire election. I tried to remind people of the Obama campaign promises. I was told not to worry Barack Obama will govern more from the center. I didn’t believe it and said so, but I did hope so; unfortunately to no avail as Barack Obama became our 44th President.
Since the election and on the very day of the inauguration I have been praying for God to raise up black Christian leaders to speak the truth. President Obama was clear at his inauguration that he wanted to “remake America” and on the same day he posted the Gay Agenda on the White House Web Site. (However recently the White House staff re-worked the web page “Support for the LGBT” and is now condensed with less details. It is not quite as boldly pro-LGBT as it was. However there is more to read on the White House by searching you can see for yourself.) President Obama hasn’t changed his radically left desires to “remake America.” His desire to remake America includes barbaric practices of partial-birth abortion, Hate Crimes Legislation, and a Presidential Proclamation making June 2009 LGBT Gay Pride Month for America. I am in agreement with Pastor Hutcherson, I look for the moral compass of a leader when voting. Clearly if a man or woman cannot see the barbarianism of partial-birth abortion, they should not be a leader. If they cannot clearly see abortion as murder how can they have the clarity of character and conscience to lead our country? They can easily violate the other 10 Commandments of God if they are willing to promote partial-birth abortion. This CHANGE and “remaking America” direction also has built-in plans to stifle the voices of ex-gays. This is especially exasperating for me as a man who left homosexuality 27 years ago. This propagation of Hate Crimes legislation has what I believe the potential to lead to a culture war on traditional family value ministries and the church at large.
I have asked, “Where are my black brothers and black pastors who are equally appalled?” Sincerely I prayed that T.D. Jakes would repent. I have asked the Father, “please raise up godly black leaders!” You will not find many white leaders in the church asking out loud. It’s too politically incorrect. They would face condemnation of being racist, divisive and bigoted. I have asked where are the men who truly love God above the color of a man’s skin? I thought we were so much further along in racial reconciliation in the church at large including the black church. I was naive. I was appalled at T.D. Jakes and other major leaders in the black church of America who were unwilling to stand ground on Biblical principles in their voting rather than glorying skin color and/or a man’s race. Please don’t misunderstand me here. It is exciting that America has voted for a black man for President. This does prove we have made strides in overcoming racism. I can honestly relate to some of the prejudice. I was called awful names growing up. (I apologize now for the words in this next sentence, but imagine hearing them almost every day for 2 years.) I had one bully who for 2 years in junior-high school screaming at me almost every day within the hearing of my peers “Black – you sissy faggot, you queer, your nothing but a nigger faggot.” It was so painful, shameful and damaging to my identity. It was also terrifying to be followed home and beat with the name calling. Perhaps you can see, I am not insensitive. I can truly relate to these terrible words. My heart has been broken. I love black people, especially my brothers in Christ, but most powerfully I am in love with my granddaughter who is half white and half black, a gift from God. You see, I am not insensitive, I just desire truth and righteousness.
I am so grateful to God and I thank God for Pastor Hutcherson who is speaking the truth boldly in these articles to call for repentance of black leaders standing with our President when he is propagating anti-Christian policies. I am so thankful for the call to come back to character and godly living rather than merely standing with a person based upon skin color or because he is charismatic or loved by the media. I have been so grieved over the racism I perceive in the black church of America who voted for Barack Obama, kicking Jesus’ teachings aside and the leaving the Scripture behind simply for the affirmation of having a black man in the White House. Pastor Hutcherson set things clear in these interviews. He is an answer to prayer. If you feel the same way, I encourage you to write, call or email Antioch Bible Church and let Pastor Hutcherson know that you are standing with him, and then make sure you pray for him, his family and church. I am sincerely praying for revival in America, and then doing something about it by speaking out; as is Pastor Hutcherson. Will you join us by praying, and then influencing by talking to people about truth and The Gospel?

Do Not Feed The Trolls! ~ DNFTT
This is very good advice given to me from a friend who has an avid use of the Internet in blogging and dealing with trolls. Don’t give a morsel or a bone! “Don’t feed the trolls!” Feeding is responding back to their craziness! DNFTT! They will only harass you more and use what ever you say against you, as they have no interest for mature or professional dialog, they’re bullies.
What is a troll? A troll is an internet bully(s) who insists on being a nuisance by attacking and writing distorted, untrue and hateful things about you in a newsgroup or on a blog – or somewhere on the Internet. They will usually contact you through emails, comments on a blog and will try to stir up controversy through blog postings. When individuals or groups continuing in this behavior it is called trolling. Unfortunately it can also develop into what is stalking.
There are groups of people who are watching ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ who are watching ex-gay leaders with stalker mentalities and even incitements to assassinate a person’s character. It can become difficult when a troll becomes a stalker, and legal action must be taken. I really appreciate godly lawyers who desire help people in ministry. There are good lawyers with the Alliance Defense Fund, Thomas More Law Center, and then there are local lawyers who have been very helpful to me and to First Stone Ministries. There are groups of liberal blog bullies and trolls who actually advocate for stalking or suggest ways to actually trouble Christian conservatives, ex-gay ministry leaders and their staffs.
Truly we are living in new days when those who screamed the loudest for tolerance are now become some of the most intolerant hateful people in our society. Some people are actually becoming violent in adolescent demands as has been reported in the news with the riots in California over Proposition 8 in this last election in November. Ironically these are people who actually cry out, “no to hate” and yet are very people who are demonstrated extremely hateful behavior, crying out for the burning down of churches and the killing of Christians, and then demand hate crimes legislation for preservation for themselves. This would be laughable if it were not so insanely dangerous. It seems that anarchy has begun in California with recent events in Oakland, CA, the city next door to San Francisco, and this of course where a Christian missionary was beaten with her own Bible and kicked repeatedly for merely singing worship songs on the streets with her group in the gay Montrose District of San Francisco.
I have encountered several mean-spirited gay activists and blog bullies in the past few years. However, 2008-2009 has given me some extra experience than in past years. Most of these new experience started after sharing my story in finding freedom from homosexuality and sharing my feelings about free speech at the Oklahoma State Capitol on April 2, 2008. I have also had more experiences after posting my personal beliefs here on my personal blog, and after writing articles about freedom from homosexuality. I am grieved, but not surprised at the level of hate that has been spewed out at me and First Stone Ministries, the staff, volunteers, even my wife and children from people who claim to be so tolerant. It is sad how other Christian and ex-gay leaders through the country are being treated. I could write for an hour telling the stories.
Bottom line, if you share something contrary or in opposition to the politically correct liberal leftist position about homosexuality, there is NO tolerance of your views. Freedom of speech for the Christian is coming to an end IF the liberal left have their way. It has become clear that tolerance is only for those who have the gay political point of view. Accept homosexuality as normal, or you are a bigot, and a hate monger. So ironically intolerance is coming from the groups of people who demanded tolerance. There is no room for tolerance for conservative Bible believing ministries like First Stone, Focus on the Family, Exodus International, and scores of many other Christian organizations with who are in opposition to politically gay-agenda-minded motivated groups. The Internet is full of personal blogs of gay men/woman and gay organizations who wish the demise of Christian organizations.
DFTT! – Don’t feed the trolls, and sound advice from my lawyers: document everything, keep everything, start filing police reports and get a team of lawyers.
Who’s Tracking Proposition 8 Contributors? Why and to What End?
Watching Bill O’Reilly on the Factor tonight this story broke on his policing the Internet segment. Who is tracking Proposition 8 contributors with an interactive GoogleMap online database? This is very disturbing!
Financial contributors to campaigns are a part of public records and are there for accountability, as they should be. But, what is the purpose of the anonymous person and/or group who developed the Prop 8 Maps site, with Google’s help to post this information with contributors names, the location of the contributors addresses and the dollar amounts given? What could possibly be the motive?
Isn’t this intimidation? Bullying? Where’s the tolerance?
What will be the end result of this information being accessed so quickly online? What could be the possible outcome of an enraged gay person or a sympathizer having this information at their finger tips? What might a person do in a fit of rage? What might a person do if they feel their neighbor caused the Proposition 8 victory and in their mind they believe that a “right” had been taken from them?
Could it be that this Prop 8 Maps site is about putting fear and intimidation into the Prop 8 contributors of California? There are also other contributors who gave large sums tagged in other states on this map. What happens to the large donor in the Washington, DC area where there is a very active and angry gay political community? What happens if one person is critically beaten, or a lot of property destroyed, or worse, what if someone is killed? (God forbid!) Who all might be held responsible? What about a group of these contributors realizing that this Prop 8 Map web site has actually put their lives and families at risk –what might this group do legally to protect themselves? Could this become a class action lawsuit? If I were the site owners and organizers, GoDaddy, Inc. who is providing the server, and Google, Inc. who has obviously prepared the interactive map; I would be calculating the real possibilities, culpablity and the liability.
We are living in new days, and CHANGE is here.
The End of the Home and the End or Our Society?
by Pastor Paul Blair with Fairview Baptist Church, Edmond, OK
Fact: Barack Obama opposes and has promised to see all Defense of Marriage Acts overturned.
Fact: Barack Obama supports homosexual marriage ensuring that the 1,100+ federal legal rights and benefits of natural traditional marriage are extended to same-sex couples. In addition, it will be illegal for you to preach against homosexuality.
Legalizing homosexual marriage will end the value of traditional marriage in America. How do I know?
The Homosexual Movement tries to paint an “Ozzie and Harriet” picture of the poor homosexual couple that wants to get married and raise a family. But what are the facts. We know because homosexual marriage is legal in the Netherlands and has been for some time. Surveys conducted in both America and the Netherlands show that there is no comparison between a “homosexual marriage” and a “heterosexual marriage.”
- In heterosexual marriage 90% of women and 80% of men surveyed have never cheated on their spouses. Contrast that with the fact that surveys show homosexuals in “committed” relationships have sex with eight other partners in an average year (the number of liaisons with each of those eight was not recorded).
- In heterosexual marriage, studies show that 70% of first marriages last at least 10 years while 57.7% last over 20 years. In homosexual marriage the average relationship lasts 18 months.
What homosexual marriage has done in Scandinavia is kill marriage in general. If the definition of marriage means you can have 8 extra marital partners a year and then change relationships altogether every 18 months, why bother to get married at all? And that is exactly what has happened in the Netherlands. Currently, in Scandinavia, 60% of first-born children now have unwed parents.
Is there a cost to society for not having a Mother and a Father in a home?
In America, single parent homes are 700% more likely to live in poverty while in our prisons, 70% of prisoners are from single parent homes. Just as the cell is the basic building block to the human body, the family has been the basic building block in America. If we destroy the family,America will not be far behind.
But even if a person didn’t care about our Nation and didn’t believe the Bible, if a person claims to have compassion for his fellow man, he would still oppose homosexuality.
Over the past 15 years, there have been many surveys trying to determine what percentage of the population in America was homosexual. Even liberal think tanks, such as the Guttmacher Institute, place that number at around 3% of the population. The percentage of sexually transmitted diseases, depression and suicide should be consistent with other population groups if homosexual behavior was a safe alternative. The evidence proves the opposite.
In 2003, the Centers for Disease Control reported that homosexual behavior was responsible for 60% of all HIV cases in America. A 2004 study on Gonorrhea revealed that 64% of all cases were the result of homosexual activity. When such a small percentage of the population is responsible for such a large percentage of STDs a question should be asked about the safety of that behavior.
An epidemiological study released in 1997 from data gathered over a five-year period in Vancouver, Canada, concluded that homosexual practitioners lost up to 20 years of life expectancy. If someone truly cared about the homosexual, this data should be cause for concern. By the way, we’ve heard the statement “what happens in my bedroom is my business.” Really? The Center for Disease Control reports that there were over 50,000 new HIV/Aids cases this past year. 99.3% of those are caused by behavior and 71% of all cases in men are the result of homosexuality. In November 2006, the Associated Press reported that the average additional health care cost associated with a person diagnosed with HIV is $618,000. Do the math.
Not only is there the tragedy of suffering and death associated with these terrible sexually transmitted diseases, but there is also the financial burden placed upon the rest of America. Almost $31 billion dollars incrementally added each and every year that must be absorbed by the medical industry either through the increased cost of health care or the increased cost of health insurance. In addition to the obvious structural damage that results from homosexual behavior, the list of medical diseases found with extraordinary frequency among male homosexual practitioners include anal cancer, HIV, herpes, gonorrhea, viral hepatitis B & C, syphilis, and genital warts. Along with the medical risk is an unusually high occurrence of mental disorders and illness among homosexuals. Research results in the October 2000 issue of the American Medical Associations Archives of General Psychiatry reported that homosexual youths were 600% more likely to commit suicide than their heterosexual peers. The excuse is made that suicides and mental illness among homosexuals is a result of bias or “homophobia” in America, but that myth has also been proven wrong. The Dutch are considered progressive in their sexuality and homosexual marriage is legal in the Netherlands yet, statistical results there are consistent with the statistics in America.
We in America have taken great care for the well being of our fellow man.
We require seat belts to be worn in order to save lives. Cigarette smoking is discouraged because of the increased risk of lung cancer. We even have limitations on vending machines in schools because of the danger of obesity. Yet, if someone dares raise a question about the obvious dangers associated with homosexual behavior, that person is labeled a homophobe. It is more loving to speak the truth in love than to placate those practicing self-destructive behavior.
Homosexuality is dangerous. Homosexuality is sinful. Homosexual marriage will destroy the very existence of the home in America. Never in the history of America is the traditional home facing the threat of extinction as it is today. Christians, we must take a right stand and cast our vote in defense of the sanctity of the Traditional Judeo-Christian Home. There are over 60 million “Evangelical” (political definition of professing believers with more traditional beliefs) Christians in America. We need a Spiritual Revolution and Awakening in America. If we wake up, pray up, show up and vote we can BEGIN to take a right stand for America.
